There’s too much going on in the world for us to continue our passive aggressive attitude towards helping others. Therefore, Thanksgiving will be the opportune time to send healing love to the many travesties happening all over the world and offer thanks for the blessings you have experienced. We have listed five reasons why we should implement a gratitude ceremony into our Thanksgiving celebration this year.
You are alive – Thousands of people lost their lives this year due to warring nations, genocide, homicide, domestic violence, suicide, disease and the list goes on. Even if you are not where you want to be in your life, you are still alive and have the opportunity to work to get there.

You have a home – Homelessness is a serious situation in our country, so if you are blessed with a place to reside, please take a moment to offer thanks. Unfortunately, 1.75 million people are homeless in America; 36 percent are families with children and 13 percent are single women.
You have someone to share the day with – Thousands of people spend this holiday alone, for one reason or another. If you are sharing this holiday with close family and friends, enjoy their company.
You have ways to secure an income – Millions of Americans are struggling financially everyday. It is extremely difficult to be happy when you are stressed about bills and money, but try to anyway. For those who are successful business owners and have gainful employment, send words of gratitude into the universe.
You have your health- According to statistics; six in ten people are either obese or overweight. If you value your health and are striving to make healthier choices, you should be proud of yourself and offer gratitude.
There’s more than enough going on to complain about. This holiday season succumb to the spirit of gratitude. A thankful heart is a happy heart!
