We often take what we’ve gone through and hide it. It may be because we’re ashamed or because of fear. It may be difficult to cope with all of the struggles they’ve had to endure in life. It’s overwhelming to bring up for some, or others may just be ashamed of the trials of their past. However, we must realize how important it is to share your testimony. It’ll help you as well as others.

Although we have gotten through a struggle, when we refuse to share what we’ve been through, we keep ourselves in bondage. If we don’t let go of the weight of the past, it can hold us back from flourishing. What we’ve wanted to get out of will stop us from a prosperous future if we allow it to overtake us, even when we’ve come out. In telling your story, it frees you. The more you hold onto it, the tighter the chains will become. For true freedom from a past issue, sharing is an important tool to overcoming.

When you share your story with others, you can help someone else. It’s important we realize how our testimony can affect others. There are many people around us going through the very thing that we’ve overcome. There will be times that they need encouragement, and even hope. When they see that you’ve overcome and come out stronger, it’ll be comforting to them. It’ll let them see that they too can overcome and accomplish peace. It’s also imperative that we share our experiences with the next generation. There are many situations that we got ourselves into. Telling the youth can help deter them from taking the negative road. There are many mistakes that we’ve made and sharing the results with someone else, can possibly free them from having to go through what you’ve been through.

The power that lies in sharing your testimony is intense. Not only will you become free, feel lighter, and be able to flourish successfully; you can also free someone who’s struggling or before they even reach that point.
