What if you were the one standing in the way of your own blessing? It’s easy to send up prayers asking God for what you want, but do you take the chance to listen to what he wants from you? As humans it becomes almost second nature to be consumed with the many things of this world, however, you must never forget we are both spiritual and earthly beings. Before you can have what you need on earth you have to surrender it all to God. Most importantly, you must let go of your pride. Your pride will have you searching for fulfillment in all of the wrong places, your pride will fool you into believing you have the power to manipulate the outcome of your life, your pride will have you doing the unthinkable to “save face” and your pride will shield you from what god is trying to send your way.

Good vs Bad Pride

It is a difficult thing to give up, but it is the most rewarding. Imagine if you were able to let your pride die, and step out on your faith. Thereby, fully accepting of whatever the outcome will be. Imagine forgetting your selfish desires to feel loved, respected, or even admired by your peers and only desire God’s love? Imagine how much more God could bless you with, if only you would give him your all?
