How To Select The Perfect Color: How Colors Can Affect Your Mood, Feelings and Emotions!

Colors play an intricate role in our lives. Through color we receive the energy needed to maintain a healthy body, mind, and soul. According to The National Institute of Mental Health our mental health, behavior, and general efficiency in life depends on normal color balance. When something goes wrong, or is out of balance, we can strengthen our energy center through the conscious use of color. Listed below is a list of colors and the positive ways they can impact our mood.

The color red represents courage, self-confidence and vitality.  It is good to boost your energy. Red is called “The Great Energizer.” Red is warm, vital, heating. It loosens, opens up clogs, releases stiffness and constrictions. It is excellent for areas that have become stiffened or constricted.

The color blue is known to be a mentally relaxing color. It’s a great color for those who have sleep problems. It’s excellent for clarity and communication. Use blue when you want to have introspective moments and positive thoughts.

The color yellow helps strengthen the nerves and the mind. It helps awaken mental inspiration and stimulates higher mentality. It is an excellent color for nervous or nerve-related conditions or ailments.

The color green is a healing color. It is associated with nature and the Earth.  It is also a color that is associated with finances.  It is an excellent color to balance your blood pressure and your heart energy.

The color violet is said to be a color of beauty, creativity and inspiration.  It is the color to embrace when you need guidance, wisdom and inner strength. Violet is said to provide nourishment to the upper brain cells.

The color orange is a happy color that exudes confidence and resourcefulness. It is a great emotional stimulant. This is a great color to use to become more social and remove inhibitions. It is said to be the true color of the sun. Its hotness is great for sexual expression.
